Everything about One Penn Plaza totally explainedOne Penn Plaza is a skyscraper near Pennsylvania Station in New York City, west of Seventh Avenue, between 33rd and 34th Streets.
It was designed by Kahn & Jacobs and completed in 1972. It reaches 229 meters (750 feet) with 57 floors. The tower has setbacks at three places; 7th, 14th, and 55th floors. From its location on the West side of Manhattan, most South, West and North facing tenants have unobstructed views of the Hudson River.
There are 14 entrances into the building and 44 elevators in seven banks which travel up the building. There is an underground car park consisting of 695 spaces for cars. There are also direct passageways at each end of the building to the Pennsylvania Station, which is located underground and one block south. The ground floor is leased to several commercial tenants, including a large K-Mart store, and a restaurant.
It is built with structural steel and concrete, with grey solar glass and anodized aluminum on the outside walls.
One Penn Plaza is owned by Vornado Realty Trust.
